"July 1979 whilst on an extended prayer pilgrimage at a noted Prayer Centre near the Pyrénées mountains in France, God the Holy Ghost visited Anton when he saw a vision of Jesus Our Lord affirming His anointing on his life. He then attended a ‘Life in the Spirit’ seminar at Westminster Cathedral, Victoria, London to learn how the Holy Spirit is renewing Christians all over the world".

Profile of Alfred Lee

 

Born in Klang, Selangor, West Malaysia in 1972, Aaron Alfred Soon-Chye Lee started electronic studies at eight and emerged as the national Malaysian champion of the first Technics Electronic organ Competition in 1984. After finishing his music theory studies at 16, he furthered his studies in music composition at the University North Texas in the United States. Graduated in 1995 with honours, majored in Music Composition, Minored in Music Theory, and also took up studies on the Harpsichord, and conducted seminars all over the USA. 

Among his musical accomplishments was a solo recital at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games at the oldest Cathedral, St Andrew’s Cathedral in downtown Sydney, and for three weeks ministered the Gospel of our Lord Jesus to many people, together with the missionary group named “The Lay-Witnesses for Christ International.” Finalist at the first San Jose Symphony Orchestra Young Composer Competition in 1998 with work dedicated to the late Princess Diana entitled Farewell to You, My Princess. Winner of the first Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Young Composer Competition 1997. His orchestral piece entitled “The Romanza” was performed in the USA. The internationally acclaimed conductor Raymond Leppard conducted the piece. Performed for the Archbishop’s Enthronement Celebration service at Nassau, Bahamas, where at least 3000 people attended, which was also televised live. Also performed several times in Denmark.

Composing music is in Alfred’s blood. The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, at their debut Concert, performed one of Alfred’s pieces, ‘The Malaysian Overture’. This has been transcribed and performed by a youth Symphonic Band in Hanover and Nuremberg in Germany 2000 at the World Expo.

Currently serving as a music minister to a few churches in the USA, and also helping with music programmes for a pre-school for Christian children, named Oakmont Christian Academy. Composes and also writes Christian Music to promote the life-giving truth of Jesus Christ.
