" On Saturday 18th September 2010, we attended the much needed Prayer Vigil at Hyde Park, London. Between 8 pm and 8-30 pm, darkness had fallen and most of the 80,000 congregants assembled were on their knees, heads bowed in solemn prayer on the grass in Hyde Park. In devotion and reverence this Hymn was sung,
“ Lead Kindly Light”.

An introduction to Pastor Kingsley Appiagyei
and his church, Trinity Baptist Church,

For the last two years, (Dec'2002 and Dec'2003), we felt,
( A picture of our family is positioned at the bottom of this page, just above the 2009 neo-counter), it was somewhat mandatory, from a prompting of God The Holy Spirit, to attend the New Year Eve service at the Trinity Baptist church, located in West Norwood, South London. This church has a congregation of more than a thousand people. It is during this time that the Pastor, Kingsley Appiagyei delivers his vision message, i.e. which is usually a prophetic message in regard to a dawning of a New Year. The service lasts for a long time, usually between 8 pm till 1am. We enjoy every minute of it. The praise and worship is superb. Very moving. The Presence of God is tangible, for God The Holy Ghost manifests His Presence. This is one of the many reasons why we like to attend the New Year service in this church. For the Praise and Worship is done in a reverential manner and this enables us to sense the Presence of God. We come back home at about 2am feeling that we have encountered a lasting experience with God.I would like to mention here some key points that Pastor Kingsley Appiagyei mentioned in his prophetic sermon.
May the Favour of God be Upon You.
A) Genesis 39 verse 2:
But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.A 1) Genesis 39 verse 20:
But while Joseph was there in the prison, 21) the LORD was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favour in the eyes of the prison warden. 22) So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there. 23) The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph's care, because the LORD was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he didB) Divine Favour : If God be for you, who can be against you. When favour comes upon you, one spontaneously rejoices and the Supplier of this Favour does not expect anything in return.
C) 1 Chronicles 4 (9-11)
9) Jabez was more honourable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." 10)
Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.D1)Favour will restore in a day, what the enemy stole in a lifetime.
D2) Uncommon Favour will come upon you!
D3) One day of Favour is worth a lifetime of labour.
( This sentence really blessed me)D4) Favour is your ladder to Divine success. Psalm 127 :1
) Unless the LORD builds the house,D5) Favour can silence a lifetime enemy for ever.
( Glory Be To God)
D6) Favour will turn tragedy into triumph. Job 42 verse 10-12.
10) After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before. 12) The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.
Since 2002 each succeeding year we have felt a need to attend the New Year Eve Service at
Trinity Baptist church. This year ending, Dec 2005 we again celebrated the New Year with the Trinity Baptist congregation. Our Lord honoured and favoured the Church leadership this year by enabling them to have this service at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, Indoor Arena, Ledrington Road, Upper Norwood. Anton alongside Pastor Kingsley Appiagye ( left on the photo) Photo taken just after celebrating Pastor Kweku Amosah's birthday, the assistant to Pastor Kingsley. Pastor Kingsley is commended as the founder of the two largest Baptist Churches in the United Kingdom.
We are all ready to eat a delicious meal at the Tiger Tiger Club located in Croydon , Surrey in honour of Pastor Amosah's birthday. It was a memorable occasion. This was a surprise party for Pastor Amosah! Celebrated on 6th July 2008. ( Sitting on the far right is Anton, nearer to the picture is Saida, (sitting opposite to Saida) is Valerie and our daughter Jannine is sitting on the far left.) We also had some precious fellowship with Pastor Amosah's wife, Victoria Asare Kewku. Their children were present too, Hannah, Samuel and Josephine.
Trinity Baptist Church is an example of an arena that loves to pray and intercede.
We all need to practise praying in order to become prayer warriors!
We did so and read below what happened!
Paul graduated with an Honours Degree in his Mathematics tripos from Christ's College, University of Cambridge, 1st July 2005.
In 2003 he became a Scholar when he secured a first in his part 1 A of his tripos. Press Link: It's an impressive photo!
Paul is pictured with his parents, his sister Jannine and our adopted family member Valerie who is positioned on the extreme left. Our fresh breaking news in 2009 is that Paul will be receiving his MA from Cambridge, March 2009, and his MSc from I mperial College, London. He was also awarded a distinction (a first) for his MSc. His graduation ceremony, for his MSc, will take place in the Royal Albert Hall in May 2009. On 17th July 2009 Paul conveyed the thrilling news to us that he had passed his final A ctuarial Paper. Today 24th July 2009 his name was published in the London Times, page 68 stating he is now a Fellow of the Institute of A ctuaries. Well done Paul! You can relax now and enjoy your profession as a fully qualified A ctuary.
The further breaking news is that our daughter Jannine has been given a conditional offer at St. John's College, Cambridge, to read for a BA Honours degree in Law commencing October 2009.
One of the reasons she opted for this College was to follow in the footsteps of her grand Uncle Benedict Ponniah, who was rightly positioned to become the Secretary General of the United Nations. A Queens Scholar, in the same prime league as the renowned Seniors Mr & Mrs Lee Kuan Yew. (The first Prime Minister of modern Singapore).
The conditions are steep for Jannine, she
needs to get a minimum mark of 90% for her A level subjects. For when she joined our family she was in harrowing despair ( On Friday, 16th January 1999, we were in Valerie’s house in Claygate, Surrey. At 11-15 pm we were about to leave for London, we went to say goodnight to Valerie’s Mum Vera Meilton . It was during this momentous moment that her Mum looked directly at us and told us in a rather sweet indirect fashion,--- “please take care of my only daughter”. Her mum was clearly unwell, the final words she uttered to us were “All you need is Jesus.” We than prayed and anointed Vera with Holy oil and dedicated her to the sweet Presence of Jesus. 6 days later she died peacefully at Kingston General Hospital, with Valerie holding her hands For clarification do press This link: It might surprise you once you start reading it."
