Reading for Day 42:

It was my Dad who introduced me to these Malaysian birds!

Home Pigeon Macaw

Please press this link to: Watch the joyous video of our dear Dad celebrating his 90th birthday with his family, relatives and close friends in Malaysia, live music included to serenade the gathering, surrounded by fans producing cool steam! To get some relief from the intense heat.

My dad was always a pigeon fancier. He loved to converse with people who reared home pigeons. We grew up to witness pigeons being reared in our home. We saw many coming forth from their egg shells and growing up to their full size. Now that I am residing in London, every time I see a pigeon it brings back incredible fond memories!!

Someone was in the forest of Costa Rica, South America recently, ( February 2006) and he was told by an expert that there were 600 types of humming birds. What a thought! We serve an amazing God.

It was refreshing to hear what Lord Hoskins, an Independent Peer of the House of Lords said to James Naughtie one of the presenter’s of Radio 4's Today programme on the 17th of March 2006. He said the British Political parties should learn how to raise finances from the Royal Society of The Protection of Birds who seem remarkably successful in weaning money out of the British Public. The British populace love their birds. As a matter of interest the RSPB is also Europe's largest conservation charity .

On Saturday 28th of January 2006 the BBC also reported that the General public have been encouraged to do some bird watching. Apparently last year, Big Garden Birdwatch, organised by the RSPB reported that nearly 400,000 people nationwide took part in last year's survey and six million birds were recorded from surveys in more than 200,000 gardens. Those who took part were asked to watch their gardens or local park for an hour that particular weekend and record what birds they had seen. Then they reported to the RSPB the highest number of each species they had seen at any one time in the hour. It was a successful survey.

God the Father hears the sparrow as well as the nightingale.

The gorgeous beautiful radiant flowers covering our dear Mum Jeyamani Theresa Nicholas’s burial place is just an indication of the love and affection people held for her. The flowers were still fresh from visitors paying their respects. They brought clusters of Hibiscus- the national flower of Malaysia and different varieties of roses. The colours and fragrant smells were enchanting with many of them blooming. There were Jejarum  (Needle flower), different varieties and colourful species of Bougainvilles (Bunga kertas), yellow alamandas, mesmerising orchids, lantanas, bird of paradise flowers, rhododendrons and chrysanthemum----this flower in Malaysia is locally known as “ Mum” and there were other varieties too. Our dear Mum would have loved all these flowers.., for she loved her garden.

Near the graveside is my Dad and two brothers, Justin and Sylvester Nicholas. ( Sylvester is beside my Dad and Justin behind: do press this link: to find out what happened to Justin a few years later when we had to persevere in prayer, supplication, intercession and groaning in the Spirit to fight for his life.

The refreshing, comforting and assuring smell of these overflowing abundant Malaysian flowers are just a small semblance of how Heaven will look. Death is just passing from an earthly domain to a Heavenly Kingdom, provided you believe with conviction and deep repentance that the sinless Son of God, Jesus Christ came down to die on the cross in your place to redeem you and I from our sins. The Grace of Righteousness then comes upon us. This is the key that gains entry to paradise. The Blood of Jesus shed for all sinners.

Oh, how sweet are these precious words of Jesus:

Luke Chapter 23

40) But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence?

41We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."

42)Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom"

43)Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise
